The strength of positive thinking

I normally don’t reblog. Well, actually I have never thought strongly enough about a post to do it yet. Until, that is, I read this one. I love the delicately chosen words that are used to string such meaningful thoughts across to the reader. It entices me and makes me want to carry on reading.

The topic of positivity is something that I firmly believe in. Trust in me when I say that it has taken me a long, long time to be able to think in such a positive way. I have always let my pesky pessimism get the best of me at times. And then one day, something clicked. I soon realised that I needed to kick this bad habit. And once doing so, has opened up a deeper feeling of happiness. It has been enlightening to say the least.

Every day provides a sparkling new opportunity to enhance and breathe fresh air into our lives. Every day we can create, grow, and develop ourselves, and our surroundings. We can dream. We can think. We can do.

It is all free. It simply costs a psychological thought. An idea. A plan.

We believe what we see. We see what we reap. An achievement is individual and personal. A goal is meaningless unless it is sought after, and worked towards.

Our failures are merely the building blocks. Every tear and every frown, simply form the steps of our own internal staircase.

Every step we walk leads us closer to our destination.

We need the pain to feel the pleasure. We need the salty tears to appreciate the feel of the fresh rain. We need the heartbreak to appreciate the purest love.
