I get so excited when someone who I don’t know comments on one of my photos and says they’re great. It gives me an Instagram ‘pat on the back’ so to speak. It’s a really nice feeling when complete strangers go out of their way to make lovely comments and even start to follow you. The want and need of being accepted and liked always comes into play with all these social media sites. I also think that need has been heightened to an astronomical level as the years of social media have gone by. Before the days of Facebook and Instagram I never felt that need to have everyone like me or like what I did. But now, with every like that I receive, the more I want one and the more I want to connect and make friends with people. Is that a bad thing? Who knows. But what I can tell you is, it’s a hermit’s dream to be able to meet people from the comfort of your own home, never having to get out of your pj’s to converse with the world. Ah Bliss…I know I’m a lazy moo moo cow!
A few days ago I got a nice message on Instagram from Whitney Bryson who asked if she could take some of my photos and post it on her website. I was thrilled and of course said YES! By the way, that euphoria of being liked kicked in. Then I found out which website she was actually talking about and that’s when my excitement sky-rocketed to the universe.
Black Sparrow is a beautiful website that does exceptional pieces of Jewelry. Whitney’s plan was a relaunch, invloving re-fabbing (it was fab to begin with) the website by sprinkling it with even more glamour as well as adding a blog that focused on showing off Instagram photographers. And that’s where little ol’ me is featured in. You can check out their shout out to me here (Nature’s Lace). I can honestly say, hand on heart, that the site has been re-fabbed to an amazing standard.
Guys, I can’t stress this fact enough, Black Sparrow creates stunning pieces of Jewelry. But that’s not even the best bit! The best bit is, that a percentage of their earnings goes straight to animals in need. They are truly making a difference.
So I’m sending a huge GIGANTIC heartfelt shout out right back, along with a big thank you to them. Now, go check out the website! And in case you aren’t that convinced yet, here are some photos of their jewelry. All I can say is…fabalicious!
