New Year’s Resolutions…Blah!

New Years Resolution

Every year around a day before New Years I think up some resolutions that I want to tackle for the rest of the year. Some of these have been:

  • Lose weight
  • Stop the consumption of sugar
  • Get a Valentine’s date
  • Meet someone that completes me
  • Stop drinking so much
  • Make more smoothies
  • Become a juicing pro
  • Take an evening course
  • Get a better job
  • Have a better life
  •  laugh more
  • let love inside again
  •  learn Italian
  • learn Russian
  • learn French
  • learn Spanish
  • travel the world
  • Join the gym again
  • Save money

I could go on but we will then be here all day and we’ve got some New Year’s eve celebrating to do.

Throughout all the years I can honestly say, with my hand on heart, that I have yet to complete any of these resolutions! I start every single one of them but by the end of the year I slyly forget all together what I said I was going to do in the beginning of the year.

So this time round I have decided to pick a more vague New Year’s resolution. It’s more like me thinking of how not to look like a bag of shit that can’t accomplish her goals at the end of 2015! Well not this year damn it! NOT THIS YEAR! I have picked one where there is no way in hell of me fucking it up. Ready for it? Well, it’s actually what’s on my cover collaged photo above, to continue to grow and evolve. There you have it, my new year’s resolution. Even if I don’t manage to accomplish anything, I will have “grown” older in age. Ha! I feel like I’ve beaten the system with this New Year’s goal. There is no possible way for me to fail and boy do I feel some awesomeness bubbling up inside of me.

Here’s to 2015 everyone! May you all accomplish what you set out to do. May you all experience the happiest of times. And may you all laugh from your bellies. A hearty laugh is the king of laughter which gets all those happy hormones celebrating, therefore making you feel good. So laugh until your bellies jiggle.

and  always remember to….
